We charge based on actual token usage at competitive per-token rates. For Developer and Team plans, you pre-load credits and they are deducted as you use the API. Monthly invoices are available, and you can set spending alerts to avoid unexpected charges.

Yes, 100%. Our API is fully compatible with the OpenAI API format. If you're already using the OpenAI Python SDK, Node.js SDK, or any other compatible library, you just need to change the base_url to https://api.apikey.fun/v1. No other code changes are required.

When you sign up for a free account, you receive $5 in free credits — no credit card required. These credits let you try all supported models and get familiar with the platform. After your credits run out, you can top up with a credit card or upgrade to a paid plan.

Absolutely. There are no long-term contracts or lock-in. You can cancel, downgrade, or upgrade your plan at any time from your dashboard. For monthly plans, you will retain access to your current tier until the end of the billing cycle.

Security is a top priority. All API keys are encrypted at rest. Traffic is encrypted in transit via TLS 1.3. We do not store request or response payloads beyond what is needed for logging and billing. Enterprise plans can opt for data residency guarantees and SOC 2 compliance documentation.
